About Us and the Move to Hutchinson

Just a Normal Family…

Living in California was taking it’s toll on us. We’d lived in Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Mexico… then (gulp) California.

A job hired me away from myself in New Mexico and led us to our California adventure. At first, we were living in the middle of the Redwood Forrest and enjoying a vacation-like surrounding.

Then I made an employment change that took us to SoCal. As soon as we got there, we began dreaming of an exit. Then came the layoffs and the battle of bills vs saving money to escape.

Finally, we pulled the trigger and leveraged our newest hashtag — #escapingcalifornia. Thank you for accepting us.

Mission of Living Hutch.
